The mission of The Regenerative Engineering Society is to promote and advance regenerative engineering, a new field defined as the Convergence of Advanced Materials Sciences, Stem Cell Science, Physics, Developmental Biology and Clinical Translation for the regeneration of complex tissues and organ systems. This session features today’s and tomorrow’s leaders in Regenerative Engineering and highlights the latest advances in the field. Invited speaker Professor Steve Lustig from Northeastern University will deliver a talk on his work in the molecular dynamics of gastrointestinal Mucin gels. Professor Lustig is a former trainee of Professor Nicholas Peppas, who will receive the 2025 Cato T. Laurencin RES Founder’s Award on Monday evening, November 3.
