2025 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Materials for Energy Storage I: Advances in Batteries

This session will address topics of energy storage with an emphasis on emerging materials and new device concepts. This includes advances in synthesis and fabrication techniques for a wide range of materials. This session in particular will focus on applications in lithium-ion batteries and other emerging battery chemistries. For example, this could include how materials development is improving lithium-ion batteries or how new materials can enable next-generation devices like solid-state and multivalent batteries. Materials of interest span nanomaterials, thin films, and bulk powders, including new materials and new synthesis methods. The session invites experimental and theoretical studies ranging from the molecular level to the systems level.
