Fuels are central to modern society, moving us from place to place, lighting the dark, and providing heat. The generation and use of fuels are also responsible for the largest proportion of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions. This session focuses on technologies and practices that may be employed to reduce the carbon footprint of the fuels lifecycle, including generation, distribution, and use. Topics can include experimental and computational studies on the production of a wide variety of low-carbon fuels from produced from alternative feedstocks along with the environmental and economic assessment.
