This session focuses on a diverse range of approaches at the interface of computational and experimental molecular engineering to predict, program, and manipulate protein behavior. Topics include computational platforms to optimize functional behavior of proteins such as enzymes and nucleic acid-binding molecules, structure-based design of proteins for basic and translational applications, and leveraging engineering approaches to elucidate protein mechanisms. New methodologies, design strategies, and computational algorithms will be presented, along with case studies of their application to relevant challenges in protein engineering.
