Session: Fibers and Coatings: 1D and 2D Composites

We invite research in any area of design, synthesis, study, or application of composite fibers and coatings for smart materials. Applications of interest include sensors, actuators, energy harvesting and storage devices, shape memory, self-healing, and functions promoting sustainability, as well as smart composites with unique electrical, thermal, and optical properties and robust or scalable manufacturing methods for any of these composites. Fundamental and applied studies are both welcome, as well as computational approaches to design and evaluate these material systems and tune their functions.
