Session: Area 8A Rising Stars in Industry (Invited Talks)

This session of INVITED TALKS recognizes young to mid-career professionals (within 10 years of PhD) who have excelled in the polymers industry. In the case of period(s) of leave since PhD graduation, approved leave (maternity, paternity, elder care, health, etc.) will not count towards the time limit and accrued leave time will be subtracted from the years since PhD. A nomination package, containing 1) a letter by the nominator, 2) the curriculum vitae of the nominee, and 3) a tentative abstract should be sent by nominator (as a single PDF file) directly to zhe.qiang@usm.edu with the subject line "AIChE 08A Award Industry_LastName". The nomination package must be received by March 15, 2025 in order to be considered. Strong nomination letters should describe the nominee's specific contributions (product development, patents/publications, leadership, outreach, etc.) and impact in their industry. The committee will select a finite number of speakers, who will be invited to submit an abstract directly to this session. Nominees who are not selected in 2025 are encouraged to submit an abstract elsewhere in the technical program.
