This session will focus on the latest progress in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) technologies and production strategies, including, but not limited to, hydroprocessed esters and fatty acids (HEFA), Fischer-Tropsch (FT), alcohol-to-jet (ATJ), and emerging biotechnologies. The areas covered will include feedstock development, catalytic process optimization, reactor design and scale-up, techno-economic analysis, life cycle assessment, and policy frameworks. The production of SAF presents a promising alternative to conventional jet fuels, enabling significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and fostering the transition towards a more sustainable aviation industry.
