2025 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Polymeric Membranes for Gas and Vapor Separation

This session theme welcomes contributions to highlight advancements of polymeric, inorganic, hybrid and mixed-matrix membranes for gas and vapor separations. New approaches for the rational design, synthesis, characterization, modeling, as well as strategies on fabrication and scale up of functional membrane materials exhibiting superior separation performance in terms of permeability/permeance, selectivity and long-term stability are of special interest. Possible targets MAY NOT INCLUDE CO2. Relevant targets include, but are not limited to, hydrogen purification, helium recovery, olefin-paraffin separation, and emerging processes. Connections between fundamental material science/transport aspects and scale-up/applications are particularly welcome as well as contributions that apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to membrane science. 2024 Sessions that resulted from this theme: Synthesis and Characterization of Advanced Polymer Membranes for Gas and Vapor Separations Inorganic and CMS Membranes for Gas and Vapor Separation Highly Selective Gas and Vapor Membrane Separations Mixed Matrix and Hybrid Membranes
