2025 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Materials for Energy Generation and Conversion

This session will address topics of sustainable energy production and conversion with an emphasis on emerging materials and new device concepts. This includes advances in synthesis and fabrication techniques for a wide range of materials and promising applications enabled by these new developments. Areas of application encompass photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, CO2 reduction, nitrogen reduction reaction, water splitting, and other novel technologies for sustainable energy. Materials of interest span nanomaterials, thin films, and bulk powders, including new materials and new synthesis methods. The session invites experimental and theoretical studies ranging from the molecular level to the systems level.
