Feedstock supply and logistics are key to the success of biorefineries. This session focuses on understanding and addressing the technical risks in the biomass feedstock supply chain. The presenting papers will cover topics, including but not limited to, sourcing, quantifying, and reducing biomass feedstock variability, improving biomass feedstock handling processes, predicating and mitigating equipment wear, enabling reliable conversion performance and consistent product quality, and evaluating corresponding process economics and environment impacts.
