Session: Active Synthetic and Biological Systems

This session of contributed talks is focused on flow and transport phenomena pertaining to "active" systems whose constituents consumes energy in order to move or to exert mechanical forces. These can be synthetic (e.g. colloids) or biological (e.g. bacteria, molecular motors).
