2025 AIChE Annual Meeting
Session: 10D: Computational Advances for Sustainability
This session includes the application and design of mathematical modeling, numerical methods, mathematical analysis, and/or scientific computing to the broader domains of energy and environment. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, power grids, alternative energy systems, sustainable and circular processes (reducing carbon or water footprint), biological and chemical degradation in the environment, sustainable materials, waste mitigation strategies, climate and geo systems modeling, carbon footprint tracking, and life-cycle analysis. Contributions that identify unique numerical problems that arise in energy and environmental sustainability applications and address them with novel mathematical or numerical approaches are also encouraged.?
