Session: 10D: Advances in Computational Methods and Numerical Analysis

This session invites contributions on advances in mathematics, numerical analysis, computational science, and numerical methods as applied to problems relevant to chemical engineering. Topics of interest include simulation, multi-scale modeling, data analysis, exascale modeling and high-performance computing, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, optimization, decision-making, and control, among others. Contributions should have a clear focus on progress in computing, algorithms, numerical analysis, or foundational mathematical theory. For submitters from industry (rather than academia), submissions featuring relevant open/unresolved problems are also encouraged.
