Optimization methods and algorithms form the core tools for process operations and process systems engineering in general. The session invites papers in the general area of mathematical optimization. Topics on theory, algorithms, software or hardware/architecture for all classes of optimization problems are considered, which include but are not limited to, global optimization, mixed-integer optimization, nonlinear optimization, optimization using quantum computing, hybrid optimization, high performance computing, and disruptive computing. Application papers offering insights into the interplay between optimization theory and practice are also encouraged.
