Outreach and teaching provide powerful platforms for connecting chemical engineering with many communities. In this talk, I will share early experiences designing and leading outreach activities, contributing to AIChE engagement, and teaching as a new faculty member. These efforts highlight strategies for fostering community, sparking curiosity, and building sustainable local connections. I aim to emphasize how outreach complements research and professional growth while inspiring the next generation of engineers.
