2024 AIChE Annual Meeting
Session: Quantum Materials and Applications
Quantum materials offer unprecedented opportunities to explore quantum phenomena and revolutionizing technologies ranging from electronics and computing to sensing. These materials have facilitated the observation of various quantum optical phenomena, including super fluorescence, photon entanglement and spin coherence. This is emerging as a rich area of research for chemical engineering due to the overlap between materials synthesis, processing, and applications where energy and charge transport are critical. The session invites studies on recent advancements in synthesis, characterization, simulations, and applications of quantum materials. Material systems of interest include but are not limited to 2D materials, quantum dots, and perovskites.
