Session: Pandemic Response, Public Health, and mRNA Vaccines

Pandemics (including COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus) have impacted life, the economy, and chemical engineering around the planet. Chemical engineers are at the forefront of developing novel engineering and medical solutions to track, prevent, and treat emerging disease that threaten the public health. This session highlights contributions of chemical engineers to addressing pandemics and public health challenges generally.
