Enabling technologies for next-gen manufacturing can come from a large spectrum of sub-specialties, including advances in the chemistry or physics involved in a manufacturing process, as well as in the computing, communication, and sensing systems. This session seeks to highlight novel technologies with potential to be game-changing for manufacturing, and which are close to the application stage or have already been piloted, and which do not fit within traditional technology classifications represented at AIChE. Submissions from industry and national labs are welcome to facilitate discussion at the industry/national lab/academic interface.
