Session: Biomolecular Engineering III: Improving Biomedical Applications

Understanding the cellular mechanisms for disease pathogenesis is necessary for the development of new diagnostics and therapeutics, as well as for improving existing biomedical technologies. This session presents biomolecular approaches to understanding disease mechanisms in order to improve upon biomedical applications and health outcomes. Talks will range from understanding cancer metastasis to understanding antimicrobial resistance and how to combat it.
