Session: Metabolic and Process Engineering for Value-Added Products from Food Processing

This session will highlight recent developments in biotechnology and bioprocessing for converting food processing wastes to value-added products such as organic acids, alcohols, esters, biopolymers, biosurfactants and pigments. The papers presented both metabolic and process engineering tools for bioconversion process improvements are accepted.
