Session: Advances in Membrane Technologies for Food and Bioprocessing

This session will highlight recent advances in the development and application of novel membranes and processes for applications in food and bioprocess engineering, pharmaceutical manufacturing, renewable energy resoure utilization and relevant separation engineering (biomass enrichment, waste water treatment, etc.). Papers dealing with developments based on new membrane materials, novel membrane modules or inspiring process design and optimization are to be presented in this session. Both academic research and industrial development on new membrane technologies with high feasibility and potential for industrial applications are favored and invited.
