Session: Breakthroughs in C1 to Chemicals and Processing Engineering

The growing applications of the alternative resources such as coal, natural gas, industrial wastes (CO2) and biomass prompt the rising interests of C1 to chemicals from both academia and industries. Significant progress has been made in the past decades as some processes such as methanol to olefins (MTO), synthetic natural gas (SNG) and Fischer-Tropsch (FT) have been successfully commercialized. This session is to provide a platform for discussing recent breakthroughs in C1 to chemicals, and to address critical issues in process development for such innovative technologies, ranging from reaction principle, catalyst synthesis, pilot tests, scale-up, and commercialization.
