- (86a) Interfacial Aspects of Consumer Products and Processes
A critical performance and scale-up aspect of numerous consumer products is the interfacial formation and adsorption of solid colloids. Whether acting to stabilize conditioning agents via Pickering mechanisms, or encapsulating active ingredients, adsorbed colloids and their mesoscale structures can impact ease of manufacturing, product shelf-life, and ultimate interactions with biological and physical surfaces like skin, hair, and fabric. This talk will discuss some of the applications of interfacial adsorption and flow in formulation, product, and process contexts.
