Gu, D. - Presenter, Jiangnan University

Corn oil hydroperoxide was synthesized from corn oil catalyzed by plant catalyst defatted soybean flour instead of purified soybean lipoxygenase. The effects of synthesis parameters, such as the size and concentration of the defatted soybean flour, the reaction temperature, and pH on the yield of corn oil hydroperoxide were investigated. A yield of 72.1% was obtained after 3 h under following optimized conditions: defatted soybean flour of 80 mesh, 200 g/L defatted soybean flour, 15 oC, pH9, the dosage of ethanol is 6% and the concentration of BHT is 0.13g/L.
