Preshipment Package Testing Validate Sustainability
Author
Church, E. - Presenter, ISTA
During transit all packages are submitted to the environmental hazards of shock, vibration, dynamic compression and atmospheric elements. As package designers work on making packages more sustainable they can not forget about these forces. Environment gain maybe completely lost if damage occurs to the product and sometimes just the package. The idea is to engineer a package that protects the product, but does not over-package it.
Learn how to validate sustainable packaging efforts by developing preshipment package tests to simulate the distribution environment. Hear case studies of success stories.
