A number of different table top experiments have been developed to explore the solids processing field giving the student, novice and public a simple experiment to convey the fundamentals of solids behaviors and how they differ from gases and liquids. These experiments range from fluidization behaviors to pick-up and saltation velocities to lateral forces on vertical surfaces. Each table top experiment is accompanied by a short write-up explaining the phenomena plus a short video of the operation of the unit.
