An Introduction to Intellectual Property and Patent Law

The purpose of this presentation is to provide an overview of intellectual property law. It is intended to help people (1) be able to distinguish among the various forms of intellectual property, (2) recognize potential intellectual property issues in matters they may handle, and (3) provide very basic advice on certain IP-related issues in an effort to avoid IP-related problems. It will not provide detailed information about IP law, which is a highly specialized, complex, and rapidly evolving area of the law.
