Improving Ethylene Charge Gas Compressor Performance

Feedstock to ethylene units is moving toward more ethane versus historical. Cracking ethane yields much fewer longer-chain and aromatic molecules that aid in solubilizing fouling components. As a result, an increase in downstream fouling issues can be expected. Compressor design & operational methods to reduce fouling will be discussed.
