Digitalizing Manufacturing of Products at Covestro

Covestro aims for net zero scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035. This transformation is based on three levers, green electricity, green steam, and more sustainable manufacturing processes. For this last one, aspects such as digitalization of conceptual design are essential. In this presentation we will share our vision of a full digitalized plant, with improvements in safety and efficiency with the help of automation and the use of data analytics, providing concrete examples of already existing applications. We also present a revised conceptual design framework, with the focus on circular economy projects as part of our journey towards becoming fully circular.
