ContiUnity® a True Modular Process Platform for Continuous Manufacturing

In pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industry there is a continuing drive for multi-purpose production. With the smaller quantities, localized production and new continuous technologies new processing systems are required. With the technology of today a digitalized and alternative flexible use of process systems has come available, which are the enablers for realizing flexible and standardized hardware solutions to produce in the required multi-purpose environment.

At Zeton a modular concept is developed which includes process specific solutions as well as the flexible integration (and hardware solution) into existing production environments. This concept is also applied for customer specific processes, which includes a process orchestration approach, applying an overall design approach and use of standardized modules.

In this presentation the development route is presented, using various realized projects and internal development experiences. It will give insight on the requirements for this new modular concept to be successful in a fast developing industry.
