The Circular Economy Transition: Opportunities and Challenges for Scale-Up and Role Out of New Technology

Over the last decade new/adopted sustainable technologies have been developed based on biochemistry, electrochemistry and digitization. At the moment these solutions are at lab, Pilot or Demo scale. More sustainable energy and heat have become available and this trend will continue. The Paris agreement and subsequent national responses have increased the opportunities and the need for sustainable technologies. The challenge for Circular Economy transition now  lies in scaling up the technologies and develop new business models, value chains, partnerships, and financing methods.
