On the roadmap for Brandweer Nederland the following challenges for a successful implementation have been identified:
New alternative fuels are being implemented whereby the risk has not yet been fully understood
Understanding the risk associated with increasing the volume of storage/transportation of these new fuels e.g. Hydrogen within a high risk industrial environment
How will the first responder changes their perspective on working with a new fuel
Training current staff to enable a safe operations
