Asset Integrity and Reliability (AI&R) management systems must establish policies, standards, procedures, and activities that ensure that equipment is properly designed, installed per specifications, and fit for purpose over its life cycle.

This case study will discuss implementing an AI&R program for a global chemical and pharmaceutical company for over 100 current and acquired facilities. Topics will include developing the broad asset groups (and how we initially missed one), creating buy-in for the program with one effective method we used, and managing a measured roll-out with global training and an example of a simple metric to track implementation progress. The possible need for associated programs to support the AI&R implementation will also be discussed using the example of an Electrical Safety program.

Attendees will discover challenges in implementing an AI&R program and possible solutions.
