(64a) Enhanced Nature Based Direct Air Capture (eDAC) Scaled to 1MM Ton/ Year By 2026.

Author

Enhanced Nature Based Direct Air Capture (eDAC) has been practiced commercially for 60 years in the form of crop carbon dioxide enrichment in greenhouses. A major advancement is research by USDA and USDOE in Free Air Carbon dioxide Enrichment (FACE), or enrichment without barriers, showing similar yield and Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE) increases. Other forms of DAC that draw down CO2 in the biosphere are predicted to impact food security. Evidence is provided demonstrating eDAC as the only viable choice for rapidly deployable, fully scalable, "green" (meaning low resource intensity) and profit making pathway to carbon neutrality. Plans for the world's largest carbon capture and sequestration facility are disclosed.
