(111c) Tubacoat Technology Performance to Mitigate Coking/Fouling and Improve Life CYCLE at Delayed Coker Unit FIRED Heater at North American Refinery and Other Refineries.
Author
TUBACOAT is a unique disruptive proven technology for refining, chemical and petrochemical critical applications processing difficult feedstock including biomass and recycled plastic, a game changer for the industry for increased run length, OPEX and CAPEX reduction, reliable operation and efficiency improvement. This Innovative and customized silica-based inert coating technology from Tubacex Group provides anti-fouling, anti-corrosion and anti-coking properties in harsh environments and extreme temperatures (800oC/1472oF), making TUBACOAT useful in almost all refineries and petrochemical applications, focusing on delayed cokers, Vis breakers, cracking, crude vacuum distillation unit furnaces, resid processing, biomass processing, pyrolysis and similar units.
This presentation covers results from use of Tubacoat technology at North America Delayed Coker Unit after 18 months of operation. Results include cycle length performance between spalling, time required to clean furnace during spalling, fouling rates and heater performance after spalling.
Results and case studies from various other commercial field trials and runs with major US, Europe, Asia refineries and new applications using Tubacoat technology also covered in this presentation. Results include advantages of resistance of ceramic coated tubes to various forms of coking, corrosion, fouling, scaling, plugging, abrasion and the expected cost savings.
Use of TUBACOAT technology in heavy feed processing/cracking units lead to longer runs, incremental life for equipment, reliable operations, reduced corrosion, increased heat transfer, reduced fuel consumptions, reduced CO2 emissions and hence significant savings in OPEX and CAPEX.
