(32dj) Process Safety Management for Success: Implementing Management Strategies and "Magic Words" for Regulatory Compliance and Facility Buy-in

Implementing a successful PSM and/or RMP program is about meeting the letter of the law, and then implementing a culture of safety throughout all levels of the organization. In this session, we'll start with tips and tricks for regulatory compliance in the form of "magic words" that should be found in process safety documentation. This includes special words or phrases in the following sections:

• Operating Procedures
• Pre-startup Safety Review
• Mechanical Integrity
• Management of Change
• Incident Investigation
• Emergency Response

We'll then move on to elements of successful and sustainable process safety management systems. This will include best practices for each of the 14 basic elements of process safety, and will then expand to discuss methods for management visibility, including metrics and KPIs. Finally, we'll discuss changing the culture within an organization by adding process safety accountability and stop work authority to all levels.
