In the era of Industry 4.0, Big Data, and Digitalization, efficiently developing new products requires intelligently capturing intrinsic subject-matter expert knowledge and relevant fundamental relationships and combining this information with value gleaned from experimental data. This holistic/hybrid approach to product development reduces lengthy and expensive physical experimentation, while broadening resource capabilities and knowledge retainment across R&D and Manufacturing.
