In Pipeline & Processing Facilities, there is a major need to optimize current plant operations, which will lead to more reliable and efficient facilities.

This presentation will look at various refinery spray injector and quill applications and discuss what is required to optimize performance by better understanding spray technology and how it impacts overall performance. This presentation will look at Water Wash, Neutralizers, Filmers, Regenerator Off-Gas Quench while discussing some common issues and methods to potentially improve performance that may lead to increased reliability and safety.

The presentation will provide a technical outline of spray nozzle design while using video and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) images and videos to better illustrate different injection point technologies.

A portion of the presentation will discuss new technologies and techniques such as for Water Wash in Hydroprocessing Units, Neutralizing Amines in Crude Units, H2S Scavengers in Flare Stacks, and Quench systems in FCC Units.
