Tutorial Session – Charge Gas Compressor

Abstract

This technical presentation is designed to cover a basic overview of cracked gas compressor operation – including design considerations associated with larger scale olefins units, continuously changing charge gas feed slates as they apply to compressor design, the impact of the dry gas seal conversion to legacy oil seal users, specific considerations on trip and condition monitoring systems, and strategies to prevent fouling. The partnered presentation is between MHI (designer) and CPChem (owner/operator) will focus on basic components of cracked gas compression.
