Industrial control and scheduling integration has been studied and new control features are added. Control challenges and advantages are discussed. Applications of artificial neural networks plays a significant role in the evolution of production scheduling. The collaboration between academia and industry with a goal of systematical controls integration would be greatly beneficial.
