(142a) Best Practices for Documenting Ragagep in Process Safety Information
Author
Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) are one of the cornerstones of a robust process safety management program. However, the regulations provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration as well as the Environmental Protection Agency at times offer little guidance on how to document RAGAGEP. This paper will provide a brief overview of the regulation, consensus standards, and other industry best practices for identifying what RAGAGEP you are using for your covered process, how to document RAGAGEP within your Process Safety Information, documenting how your system is meeting RAGAGEP, and how to periodically review updated editions of design codes and standards.
