(75a) Research on Sustainable Aviation Fuel at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory

The US Department of Energy has issued the SAF Grand Challenge that sets volumetric goals for production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This presentation will focus on research and development on SAF at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Novel pathways being developed from waste and renewable feedstocks – including CO₂ - will be highlighted along with information on economics and sustainability.
