(194f) Systematic Approach to Tower Internals in Olefins Plants

Utilizing high performance mass transfer equipment in the cold section of an ethylene plant provides several avenues to optimize process operations. Many factors are considered to ensure the correct technology is selected to meet the operating and capital cost objectives of a given project. This presentation will give a view of the decision-making process from the end user’s perspective that drove the final decision on the type of tower internals used in light hydrocarbon applications.
