(23c) Zpc 1400KTA Ethylene Plant Startup

TechnipFMC was selected to provide the proprietary ethylene technology and process design for ZPC. TechnipFMC provided key proprietary technology components including a Heat Integrated Rectifier System, Ripple Trays⢠and Wet Air Oxidation process. TechnipFMCâs Ultra Selective Conversion (USC®) U-coil ethylene technology is preferred for its high energy efficiency and high yields. Phase 1 ethylene plant can produce 1400KTA ethylene. The plant can process heavy feeds, such as hydrogenation cracked tail oil; liquid feeds, such as refinery naphtha and raffinate; and vapor feeds, such as LPG and ethane rich gas. It only took 42 months from PDP design to plant startup. On spec product was achieved within 3 days after feed in. This paper will discuss the ethylene plant design features and the startup experiences.
