(151b) Safety Interlock Overview and ChE / EE Collaboration

This presentation will give an overview of the basics of safety interlock design, with more focus on SIL interlocks. This will give an overview of the basic concepts, governing standards, design process, overview of calculations, and other life-cycle considerations. There will also be an example which highlights the need to have collaboration between Chemical and Electrical Engineer discipline expertise.
