(83c) Troubleshooting Once-through Reboilers

Once-through reboilers provide greater thermal and separation efficiency than conventional circulating thermosiphon reboilers; however, they are subject to different modes of failure. Examples of operating problems with once-through reboilers are reviewed and recommendations made for prevention and mitigation.
