(53a) Vision 20/20 - Shaping the Future of Process Safety

The continuous improvement cycle for any management system can become a bit of a stale exercise if not invigorated with new thought from time to time. The work done by CCPS to develop Vision 20/20 is a great example of “bringing the best process safety knowledge and practices to industry, academia, the governments and the public around the world through collective wisdom, tools, training and expertise.” Leaders and process safety professionals, however, often struggle with bringing some of this collective wisdom to life in their companies. This paper will describe the practical application of Vision 20/20 ideas, tools and concepts in one company, and the insights this approach has provided.
