(44c) Transforming Data into Digital Assets in the Process Industries

The transformation of process and manufacturing data into digital assets requires us to rethink how we collect, manage and use streaming data and events to drive continous improvement and innovation. Known data validation and data reconciliation methods can be combined to condition heterogenous data into a usable dataset, suitable for digital transformaiton initiatives, advanced analytics or other advanced manufacturing strategies. In this presentaition we will review the options available to process engineers today for carrying out this activity and discuss a few examples of the resulting benefits.
