(176c) Effective PSM on Small Capital Projects

Recognizing that Small Capital Projects are often quick turn-around, limited scope projects, it can be challenging to effectively incorporate PSM while meeting schedule and budget constraints. Process safety professionals must quickly adapt to develop the process safety scope and deliverables needed for each project. This paper will present techniques for providing quality Process Safety Management across all phases of a Small Capital Project – from inception to completion. Examples will show how a generic process can be tailored for each unique project to ensure that risk-based process safety principles and standards are effectively implemented.
