Starting a consulting business is not as easy as printing business cards, posting a web site (though both are important), and waiting for the phone to ring. It involves networking, contacting friends and associates, giving pro-bono presentations at both local and national meetings, publishing, and using resources such as LinkedIn.

This presentation will review the steps needed to establish a consulting and training services consulting business from scratch and emphasizing the importance of professional association participation in turning an idea into reality.
